Jummah Mubarakah Everyone- One of my favourite quotes by - TopicsExpress

Jummah Mubarakah Everyone- One of my favourite quotes by far! On a recent distribution I was covering for Aid Convoy (London) I snapped this picture below, of children outside a former school, which is now utilised for housing families. I very rarely look back over pictures because most of my work revolves around film, however this particular image got me really contemplating this morning. The distribution was for clothing and toys. The Syrian kids who knew of the visit, prior to our arrival rushed over when the toys were begun to be given out. A few metres away, staring perplexed and inquisitive, sat the children in the photo. One can clearly see they are not Syrian. SubhanAllah, they are from Indonesia and Tajikistan. To think! Their families migrated here to help the Syrian Ummah. These children live in the same conditions as the native refugees, despite their parents ranging from medics to labourers. Whilst many in the west, cannot comprehend or fathom why someone would leave the comforts of their homeland to move to a strange new country, raging with war, I cannot stop thinking how blessed these children really are. From all the places their lives could of taken them, to all the routes, lifestyles or faiths they could of followed. They were willed to come to Bilad Al Sham, that too in these times. The Ummah coming to the aid of the Ummah from across the globe. Wallahi, how awesome is that? They sat quietly and watched the toys being distributed from afar. When one of the aid workers called them over, their very shy and polite demeanor instantly resonated with the entire team. One of the boys told us they thought the toys were only for the Syrian children from the school. I dont think I have ever seen as much happiness as I saw in the faces of those children or the aid team that day, then in the whole time I have been here. It truly was amazing to see the future generations and lightbearers of the Deen, all United in Bilad Al Sham. This is why despite whatever happens, victory will be with the Ummah. Imminently Biithnillah. So when any of you send help from abroad, raise awareness or campaign, fundraise, donate, or make Dua, please remember, sometimes your efforts may become Rizaq for people, you could never of imagined. :-) Please keep an eye out for Winter Appeals. Much help is needed. Footwear is one of the most essential necessities, but sadly not being additioned to many current ongoing campaigns. Will upload the video to this distribution soon InshaAllah. Peace!
