Jun12: CALGARY EATS! Spring Forward into Community Action. #yycfood 6pm at Hillhurst Sunnyside Community, 1418-7 Ave NW. Do you want to put forward your food project ideas and work with others to realize them or join in on existing projects that need more support? Are you interested in connecting with others and sharing your passion for the value of food? Then join us! What is it all about? A community event enabling Calgarians to come together, collaborate and start working on projects in the spirit of CALGARY EATS! Food System Assessment and Action Plan. This facilitated event will focus on providing an opportunity for people who want to initiate a project or get involved in food projects to connect about the things you are passionate about. CALGARY EATS! is a community plan with everyone contributing in many diverse ways, and sometimes it is challenging to connect with others who share the same interests. We encourage you to use this event to bring your ideas and connect with other community members. Starting the evening off, we will be inspired by Evonne Smulders, a community champion who is passionate about food. The rest of the night, we will all be guided towards working together, developing action plans, and working toward our vision for Calgary’s food system. Light refreshments provided. (And join in on the Hillhurst Sunnyside Farmers’ Market festivities from 3pm onwards outside the Community Association building.)
