A beautiful, thoughtful, loving sister of mine has been seeking to marry for a number years. Now shes way passed the age of thirty. The brothers shes been introduced to have shown controlling features, want her to stay at home, mingle less, look after his family, cook and clean, want her to be the maid of the house.. etc.. typical Asians. Now, shes met someone who treats her well. He does simple acts like opens doors for her, asks after her family, asks of her welfare, offers her emotional support, provides her with happiness, smiles at her, offers to help around the house, is self-sufficient, helps others, uses kind words, speaks softly, grooms well... Maa shaa Allaah - the perfect prophetic example. The problem is - he isnt Muslim. How can non-Muslims be walking in the footsteps of our Prophet sallallaahu alayhi wasallam, yet those who carry the name do not. How can non-Muslims be better protectors of our sisters than Muslims? How can non-Muslims be more like the prophet sallallaahu alayhi wasallam than our own brothers? It takes more than just praying to be a good Muslim. It takes more than just uttering the shahadah. Our sisters are looking elsewhere to build a home - because they feel with Muslims, theyll only be building a house. Step up. Be MEN. PROTECT your womenfolk.
