June 12 again! Renascenedon the soils of Osun On 9th August 2014 Several days before It has been rain and rain and rain And yesterday also started With weepy skies Suddenly the skies changed Warming its way gradually into sunlight Not a single drop of rain was recorded Anywhere across the state Not even at the lachrymose areas And the security men The soldiers, DSS, police and all The spirits of good manners Descended upon them And the international observers White men of varied background British, Americans and Chinese Strolling through the lonely streets And the INEC officials Very transparent and unbiased There was no need We even realised To fold our ballot paper in a certain way To beat the suspected technological rigging It was one election Remarkable for orderliness For non violenceness For good turnout And of course For delivering a better candidate Thumbs up for my good Osun people It was like June 12!
