June 1972, the filming began for the Marshall of Windy Hollow. The star was western movie star, Sunset Carson. Guest stars included Tex Ritter, Wild Bill Cody, Ken Maynard and more. Hal & Tom Miller opened up all of their Windy Hollow property for the movie. They grew up watching the old b-westerns. Ken Maynard was one of Hals movie idols. He was so excited by getting to meet him. He is pictured with the beard. The shirt he is wearing is a Hollywood short with his name added to it. Hal asked for the shirt for the museum and he said he couldnt have it because my fans gave me this shirt. Hal did get the shirt a few years later after he passed away in 1973. Ken Maynards had sisters that lived in Louisville and they came to see him. They made him shave! You can see him in the photo with Sunset Carson. The sisters eventually gave Hal a small desk their father made for him when he was in grade school. The movie was never released.
