This year, Sacred Heart Elementary School had the privilege of sharing a corner of the world, in South Amboy, with the high school students of Cardinal McCarrick/St. Mary. After much thought and planning, we are happy to announce that Cardinal McCarrick/St. Mary High School and Sacred Heart Elementary School will now be formally joined not only in property but also in spirit. Our Pre-Kindergarten through Grade 12 school, Cardinal McCarrick/ St. Mary High School and Sacred Heart Elementary is a premier Catholic School where information, formation and transformation will happen. Because of a seamless Pre-Kindergarten through grade 12 curriculum and collaborative faculty and staff, this early childhood through high school environment brings so many opportunities from Tot To Teen! Outstanding educational advancement is awaiting the elementary students through this new joint venture! Having both high school educators and elementary teachers united for the good of all students will make the number and structure of classes filled with variety and extensive 21st century learning. Sacred Heart students will have High School course/s offered to qualified 8th graders. The HS science laboratory will be scheduled for elementary school experimentation. World Languages become more readily available. Clubs and presentations will envelop junior participation for the elementary children. High School helpers and tutors, giving service, will be able to support Catholic education for the elementary students. During the summer, we will continue to plan for our new Pre-Kindergarten-grade 12 school entity.
