June 25, 2014: 8th Day of the Sacred Heart Novena : Today, we ask for the grace of a loving and peaceful heart that only the Holy Spirit can give as Jesus promised His Apostles. The life of any follower of Jesus Christ should be enveloped in Joy - even in the challenges and crosses that come our way, daily - these should be embraced, not with anger, or sadness, or despair but with joy - because after the Crucifixion, there was the Lords Resurrection. And so, se know that after every Storm, there is always the Rainbow. After the Rain, there is sunshine. We ask that the Sunrays of Love and Joy come into our hearts and remain there. Therefore, we must never, ever give up but pray through Mary to our Divine Triard Godhead - and pray with persistence, faith and joyful expectancy for whatever is our need. - Rose Ure Mezu ------------------ Day 8 - The Sacred Heart of Jesus Novena : O my Jesus, you have said: “Truly I say to you, ask and you will receive, seek and you will find, knock and it will be opened to you.” Behold I knock, I seek and ask for the grace of… (Mention your Intention Here) Our Father, Who art in Heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Hail Mary, Full of Grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners now, and at the hour of our death. Glory be to the Father, to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit. As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Sacred Heart of Jesus, I place all my trust in you. O my Jesus, you have said: “Truly I say to you, if you ask anything of the Father in my name, he will give it to you.” Behold, in your name, I ask the Father for the grace of… (Mention your Intention Here) Our Father… Hail Mary… Glory Be to the Father… Sacred Heart of Jesus, I place all my trust in you. O my Jesus, you have said: “Truly I say to you, heaven and earth will pass away but my words will not pass away.” Encouraged by your infallible words I now ask for the grace of… (Mention your Intention Here) Our Father… Hail Mary… Glory Be to the Father… Sacred Heart of Jesus, I place all my trust in you. O Sacred Heart of Jesus, for whom it is impossible not to have compassion on the afflicted, have pity on us miserable sinners and grant us the grace which we ask of you, through the Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of Mary, your tender Mother and ours. -------------- Hail, holy Queen, Mother of mercy, our life, our sweetness and our hope. To thee do we cry, poor banished children of Eve: to thee do we send up our sighs, mourning and weeping in this vale of tears. Turn then, most gracious advocate, thine eyes of mercy toward us, and after this our exile, show unto us the blessed fruit of thy womb, Jesus, O clement, O loving, O sweet Virgin Mary! Pray for us O holy Mother of God, that we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ. St. Joseph, foster father of Jesus, pray for us. Amen. -------------------------------------- The 12 Promises of the Sacred Heart to Devotees: Jesus also made 12 specific promises to those who would honor His Sacred Heart: 1 .I will give them all the graces necessary in their state of life. 2 .I will give peace in their families and ...will unite families that are divided. 3. I will console them in all their troubles. 4 .I will be their refuge during life and above all in death. 5. I will bestow the blessings of Heaven on all their enterprises. 6 .Sinners shall find in my Heart the source and infinite ocean of mercy. 7 .Tepid souls shall become fervent. 8. Fervent souls shall rise quickly to great perfection. 9. I will bless those places wherein the image of My Heart shall be exposed and honored and will imprint My love on the hearts of those who would wear this image on their person. I will also destroy in them all disordered movements. 10. I will give to priests who are animated by a tender devotion to my Divine Heart the gift of touching the most hardened hearts. 11. Those who promote this devotion shall have their names written in my Heart, never to be effaced. 12. I promise you in the excessive mercy of my Heart that my all-powerful love will grant to all those who communicate on the First Friday in nine consecutive months, the grace of final penitence: they will not die in my disgrace, nor without receiving their Sacraments. My Divine Heart shall be their safe refuge in this last moment. To receive the promises Jesus made to St. Margaret Mary, there are a few requirements: 1. Receiving Communion Frequently. 2. Going to Confession and receiving the Eucharist on the first Friday of each month, for nine consecutive months. (If it isn’t offered at your parish, you can go privately to Confession & offer your prayers for the Holy Father’s intentions). 3. Celebrating the Feast of the Sacred Heart. l.facebook/l.php?u=http%3A%2F%2Fpraymorenovenas%2Fnovena-to-the-sacred-heart-of-jesus%2F&ixzz355sbUIgl&h=DAQGO6H1HAQHqHeV9oMOvstXxwca-0hWOzeXHGV5ZtWhPdA&enc=AZNFq71UTU71-365Gzx_q6mb4f2wG2oxqBpKyBROYVy_mK_cpEjUgBBaOCNCS-5QRdrdAsqI805S-gZp0YqQkP7z&s=1 Novena to the Sacred Heart of Jesus praymorenovenas ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Wednesday, June 18, 2014 - Dear Friends join me in a Nine (9) day Novena to the Sacred Heart of our Lord Jesus Christ: Mystical Linkings: By a mysterious act of Providence, the mystical significance of Divine Mercy, the names, and lives of St. Maria Faustina (1905-1938; feast day – October 5), the Sacred Heart of Jesus and St. Margaret Mary Alacoque (1647-1690), Our Lady of Fatima and her six apparitions (May 13 – October 13, 1917), the feast of the Holy Rosary (October 7) and of the Immaculate Heart of Mary (Saturday following Friday of the Feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus), and Pope John Paul II (May 18, 1920 – April 2, 2005) – all are forever linked together. The Sacred Heart of Jesus as revealed to Margaret Mary Alacoque which calls sinful humankind to repentance and to love was over three centuries ago, yet its message of mercy and love is the same as the message of Divine Mercy which Jesus Himself revealed to Sr. Maria Faustina Kowalska. The content of each message, the lowly station of the messengers and the reparative suffering to which each is subjected are exactly the same. The first divine revelation to Sr. Margaret Mary described as a clumsy, slow Nun of the French Visitation Order was on December 21, 1674. The request the Lord Jesus Christ made was for Sr. Margaret Mary to reveal and proclaim to people His love for humankind. During the next thirteen months that He appeared to her at intervals, His human heart was the symbol of His divine-human love. Sr. Margaret Mary was mandated to ask to be given frequent Holy Communion, especially on the first Friday of each month, and to make an hours vigil of prayer every Thursday night in memory of his agony and isolation in Gethsemane. During His third apparition, Christ spoke to St. Margaret Mary thus: Behold this Heart which has so loved men that it has spared nothing, even to exhausting and consuming itself, in order to testify to its love. In return, I receive from the greater part only ingratitude, by their irreverence and sacrileges, and by the coldness and contempt they have for me in this sacrament of love . . . . I come into the heart I have given you in order that through your fervor you may atone for the offenses which I have received from lukewarm and slothful hearts that dishonor me in the Blessed Sacrament. Jesus also asked that a feast of reparation be instituted. After Sr. Margaret Mary suffered a predicted persecution, skepticism and calumny, a new confessor in the person of Blessed Claude de la Colombière, a Jesuit priest, recognized Sr. Margaret Mary’s genuineness and thereafter supported her. Thus, by her own fiery love demonstrated by her humble patience in suffering, Sr. Margaret Mary tried to make up for the coldness and ingratitude of the world towards the Sacred Heart. While being anointed, she kept repeating, I need nothing but God, and to lose myself in Heart of Jesus. Sr. Margaret Mary Alacoque died in 1690 at the age of forty-three; her feast day is every October 13. Pope Leo XII pronounced her Venerable in March 1824; and this apostle of the Sacred Heart devotion was canonized as St. Margaret Mary by Benedict XV in 1920. **An Excerpt from Rose Ure Mezus Divine Mercy, The Sacred Heart and Other Mystical Linkings... 2008 – 2010.
