June 26-27, 1961 : Second session for ROY ORBISON this month. Three tracks will be included on the LP Crying (Monument M 4007, January 1962) : Crying, She Wears My Ring and The Great Pretender. Crying is first released as a single (Monument 447, July), coupled with Candy Man, recorded on June 27. Both sides will chart, peaking at # 2 and # 25 respectively. Sunset will get a place on Orbisons third Monument LP, In Dreams (MLP 8003, July 1963). A first attempt at Blue Bayou remains unissued.
