June 27-July 1/14 in Review - The MHPS recd 476 calls for service and held 63 individuals in custody for various offences incl: assault, warrants, harassment, impaired driving, breach of court orders, assault w/weapon, trespass, possession of stolen property, theft, public intox, fighting bylaw, possess CDSA, and mischief. Calls of note: On Friday June 27/14 - houses on Stapeford Cres and Sharpe Cres experienced vandalism with eggs thrown and flowers damaged, On Sunday June 29/14 a gold Pontiac Montana van struck a male pedestrian on Redcliff Dr SW. The pedestrian was transported to hospital with non life threatening injuries. On Jun 30/14 - a home owner on Prognhorn St NE reported a suspicious male who attended their home implying they were with a security company however further checks with the company indicated they were not associate with that company. Reminder to always ask for ID before allow individuals access to your home. Also on June 30 a B&E was reported to two residences on 5 ST SE. On July 1/14 -Police and Fire responded to a vehicle fire on Bannon Ave SW. The truck is believed to be a late 90s or early 2000s model Chev Silverado.
