June 28, 2014 Good morning Family and Friends, Thank you God for this day. Lovely morning: I sipped coffee and thought of the wonderful day a head. The vapors drifted on top of the water and somewhere in the middle of the lake were larger ripples of movement. (Smiling) The Canada geese were, also, up early. I saw a tiny bird of unusual color fly onto the feeder. As I quickly looked through the binoculars, a beautiful goldfinch perched on the other feeder. The moral of the story is: “we have a baby goldfinch.” (Smiling a little more) Spring has a wonderful rejuvenation quality that leads to early summer fledglings. I often wondered: How many of the birds hatched in our trees stay with us year round? We recognize the Canada geese returning for the reproduction/nurturing process because of the big guy with a damaged leg. (Laughing) I know there may be two geese with a damaged leg in the world! (Laughing a little more) God gives us little rewards everyday that grow into larger blessings. We only need to keep our hearts and minds open to capture our blessings. No matter the issue we are experiencing, believing in God will guide us and provide a path to follow, even if that path is just sitting and enjoying nature that unfolds before our eyes.
