June 2nd is Monday which means Monday is the day we finally have the city council meeting to decide our fate. Just because the meeting is Monday, and will most likely pass, does not mean we get to open immediately. I know I know...We are still hoping for the shortest possible time, but we should be able to give an opening date soon! With us inching closer and closer I wanted to give out some information that we get asked nearly every day. 1. How much will piercings cost? -Well....its a difficult question. There isnt a set price for piercings in general. Each one has a different piece of jewelry and so many options, there isnt just one price. What I can tell you is everything is based on this system. EVERY PIERCING (every needle poke) carries a $25 piercing fee plus the price of jewelry. This means...one nostril piercing is $25 (for piercing fee) plus the cost of the jewelry you select. Most of our jewelry for this piercing will range from $30-$60. If you want the fantastic triple forward helix piercing, it will be $25 piercing fee for each one ($75) plus cost of jewelry. Which will be around the same per piece as a nostril. Genitals will carry a $40 piercing fee plus jewelry. Piercings will remain to be a walk in basis only, but is entirely subject to change. 2. How much does a tattoo cost? - Once again...nothing is set in price. Coming down to the shop and talking to an artist will ALWAYS be free. We want to hear your ideas, we want to be a part of this process, and we care about the life long journey this tattoo will have. Currently, the only permanent artist is the fantastic Billy Hermann Design and Tattoo. He charges $125 an hour of tattooing. Easy to follow. If you get tattooed for three hours, its $125 x three hours ($375). The very minimum at Third Eye Body Art is $60. Even if you want a tiny outline of a crescent moon that takes ten minutes to tattoo, it will be $60. All pricing is subject to change and under full discretion from Billy. To be able to hold a place for a tattoo not being done as a walk in, a deposit is required of $60. NO EXCEPTIONS. Billy, and all artists, take time out of their day to draw your artwork; to be a part of the entire process. If they dedicate a few hours just for you and you dont show up, they could have missed out on someone willing to pay his bills that day. Its very important. 3. I am under 18. Can my mom sign off for me to get a piercing/tattoo? - Yes and no. The services we offer are permanent. Its important to understand that to the fullest. Sure, its gaining tons of popularity and Im sure a lot of your friends have things you would also like to get. At Third Eye Body Art, we will do most piercings at the age of 14 and up. If you are a minor, your parent/legal guardian MUST be present for the entire process and documentation proving both who you are, who your parent is, and their relation to you is required. We will pierce lobes on children under the age of 14, but it is up to the discretion of the piercer at all times. We will NOT do genitals, cheeks, or surface work on any minors When it comes to tattoos, we take a little bit of a moral high ground. We do not tattoo minors. If you are under 18, even with both your parents and all documentation present, we will not tattoo you. Once again, all policies are subject to change and are at the discretion of artists. 4. There are a LOT of shops in Arizona....why should we come to you? - My favorite question. There are some things I can guarantee with this answer. We are NOT the cheapest studio even in the city. We are NOT largest studio around. We may not be the closest or most convenient, either. What we are? We ARE individuals dedicated to upholding only the highest standards for our industry. We arent here to bull shit you. We carry ONLY the best body jewelry from the best companies in the world. Hands down. We offer titanium jewelry as our basics, the only shop in the state to do so. We offer in house anodization for you jewelry, and have the most up to date, top of the line sterilization equipment available. We will be working towards becoming a member of the APP (safepiercing.org if you want to see what they are all about) and it will make us the third studio....in the entire state! Think of how many shops are in Arizona and how few of them achieve this tier of professionalism and standard. We WANT your business! We want you to come in so we can prove to you what High quality NO exceptions means. I hope some questions were answered.
