June 30, 2014 – Ranch guest arrived from California. Matt wanted his 11 year old son Jacob, to experience the lifestyle of being on a ranch, out in the country, riding horses and everything else that goes along with it. They are from the Los Angeles area. We had such a wonderful time with Matt and Jacob (I had Josh helping with all kinds of chores and showed him how you can make working fun. My goal was to erase from his vocabulary “I can’t” which was a challenge for me, but a lot of fun. I hope Jacob thinks of MMR every time he slips and says “I Can’t”!) Right before they left on July 3rd, Jacob did not want to go home, it was very cute. My father has used our ranch to bring up all the grandsons (one being my son, Shaun Kays); dad calls it “Man Training”! Matt asked us to consider having “Man Training” for boys every summer and he would definitely fly his son in, so we are thinking about it! I say, if we have “Man Training Camp” we will also have to have “Girl Training Camp”! We will leave that for another conversation one day :) . I am posing a lot of the fun things we did in the few days we had with Matt and Jacob along with a “thank you” email from Jacob………it’s very sweet and I was so please to receive it. I know we (Our MMR Family) have touched 2 more lives with the beauty of horses – life just doesn’t get any better!
