June 8, 2013 In the Rookie division Mike Best and Cody McEroy led the field to the green with Best grabbing the top spot. On lap 3 a scary crash involving Tim Rhoden as he lost a tired and slammed hard into the front stretch wall. Rhoden was able to climb out on his own but the car was heavily damaged. One lap later the yellow flew for Cody McEroy as he sailed off turn 4 but was able to continue. Bob Ray has been the dominant driver in the Rookie class winning the last 2 weeks and he seemed to be on his way to a 3rd as he came from 14th grab the lead by lap 5. With 5 to go Ray lost the handle in turn 1 spinning out while navigating traffic. At the same time Samantha Henderson spun in turn 2 bringing out the yellow for the final time. This left Quincy Roberts and Brighton Speedway regular Brady Greer to battle for the win. Roberts would hold strong over the final 3 laps to grab his 1st win of the year over Greer, Tyler Markell, Riley Greer and Jamie Truelove.
