June Communion. Question and Answer segment. -Anthony from Tanzania asked concerning his challenge with the use of the word magnify for God. He asks, Is it right to use this term for God as Magnify for the dictionary actually means making something larger than it actually is. Pastor explained that the word actually means to extol God. Psalm 34:3 O magnify the Lord with me... (KJV), newer versions would say Glorify the Lord... So we are not trying to make him look bigger than He is, we are actually extolling his majesty. So the word is there in the bible. If you were trying to define all these words, you would also have issues with the word exalt. These words are all used to glorify God. -George from Nigeria says that he has had a problem with stealing for years, and that he is tired of living this life. Pastor explained that he needs to recognize th Lordship of Jesus Christ over him to do the right things. The definition of a Christian is that one who has the Lordship of Jesus Christ in his spirit. Without these understanding, youll do whats wrong. Romans 10:9 talks about confessing the Lordship of Jesus. This is so vital. Once you live to please Jesus Christ and not for yourself. If you live to please Jesus, you will not sin. Secondly, you need to understand the power of the word of God. You also need to walk in love. -Pastor Chris then answered the question: where does a Christian who commits suicide end up? Pastor explained that the individual wont go to hell for the act of suicide itself but due to the selfishness that led to the suicide. Selfishness is the root of all evil. The only reason why that individual committed suicide is because he loved himself so much and didnt want to suffer anymore. Nothing positive leads to suicide. Therefore what God looks at is why did you do it. This is why we should live our lives fulfilling Gods purpose. Joe from Canada asked for clarification on the city of Babylon, asking if it was a nation and when the struggle would take place. Pastor explained that the Bible used Babylon not as an ethnic country but as a society that has all the characteristics of a sinful system. -Finally, Jonas from Russia asked if the dead can see and hear us. Asking, can we talk to them and they will hear? Pastor explained that people who have experience talking to dead relatives and other similar experiences were not actually talking to their relatives that died but to familiar spirits. These demons are called familiar spirits and they are the very same demons that Jesus cast out in Bible days and have existed for generations. They are not new ones. Therefore they know people all over the world. Theyve been around for a long time. We are not permitted to talk to the dead neither are they permitted to talk to us.
