June in TX hill country: Heavy heat, bursting wildflowers, mysterious insects, grey-blue skies, sea cravings, strong sunlight, arrogant birds, more heat, the hums of lawn mowers mixed with ceiling fans, green-drenched trees, late dusks, angry ants, a slowing down, fresh peach stands, drowsy dogs, an unknown nostalgia, full cotton clouds, quiet afternoons, lone coyotes, rain cravings, flourishing cacti... ....and heavier heat, and more wildflowers, and even stronger sunlight, and massive night skies and multiple layers of bright, fiery stars. And they were all yellow.
