Jungle confidence course. Basic diving course. Basic airborne course. These are courses that can be daunting even for the toughest of men. But CPT Eileen Sow, the Executive Officer of RSS Resilience, is proud to have completed all of them. “The rigorous training I went through made me who I am today – strengthening my core values like resilience, deepening my belief that if you never try, you’ll never know how far you can go. Through these experiences, I have forged amazing friendships with my fellow comrades and the tough training that we have gone through together motivates me to work harder towards a common purpose. I will never forget braving the storms and choppy seas with my teammates, the beautiful sunsets shared with whales and dolphins and the incredible view of constellations while sailing from the Northern to Southern hemisphere. People say that when you join the Navy, you see the world. I am confident of having enough material to write a book for my grandchildren in the future,” Eileen beamed.
