Chile Center of Biomedical Investigation (CIB) Neuroscience Research Unit Electrophysiology Laboratory Department of Medicine, Universidad de los Andes San Carlos de Apoquindo 2200 – Las Condes Santiago, Chile Job Description The Neuroscience Research Group (at the Centro de Investigaciones Biomédicas, Faculty of Medicine), Universidad de los Andes, is looking for a Research scientist to lead the Electrophysiology Unit. The candidate will head an excellent research program in electrophysiology using several approaches, including synaptic neurotransmission-directed preparations that should be oriented towards translational medicine. The group leader should be able to interact with the different research lines at place including epilepsy research, stress-induced depression and stem cell research. This program, headed by Dr. Ursula Wyneken, is part of an international interdisciplinary group with German and North- american scientists. Your Qualifications We are seeking a creative and enthusiastic colleague with a PhD degree with good experience in electrophysiology and with a strong track record of productivity and an independent research focus in the above areas.
