Junior Hockey week of 10/9/14 Congratulations to all C & D Grade children who finished their season on Saturday, you were all amazing and have improved throughout the season. Presentation was held for the children after the games and they were all really happy to receive their medals, sample bags and to have a sausage sizzle. Thank you again to all the coaches and parent helpers for the teams, without your time and assistance the results wouldn’t be achieved. With the grass season nearing the end, indoor hockey commences and have championships held for age groups towards the end of the year. Details can be located on the Hockey NSW website. Any child interested in trying out are encouraged to attend an information/sign up day at PCYC on Sunday the 14 September 2014 from 11.00am. Any parent interested in Coaching a team are also encouraged to contact Laurie Wakefield, Director of Junior Hockey as to date no formal applications have been received. A Grade finals on Wednesday afternoon are as follows: Girls 4:45pm Parkes Mensland v 141 on Main (Ben Townsend and Rodney Coleman) Boys 5.45pm Telescope Tyres v Parkes Hydraulics (Jacob Townsend and Kieran Deland) Grand finals for Saturday are as follows: B Reserve 8.30am on the Turf Division 1 Parkes Central Butchery v Craig’s Mobile Welding and Fabrication (Kyle Thompson) Division 2 Parkes Tyrepower v Hay’s Hardware (Will Searl) B Grade at 9.30am on the Turf Rascals v Betta Home Living (Carleton Magill and Amy Draper) Presentation and Sausage Sizzle to follow after this game for all teams involved in the finals.
