Juno the Warrior Princess update! Other than her coat looking thin - TopicsExpress

Juno the Warrior Princess update! Other than her coat looking thin and still growing in from her surgeries, youd never know this girlie was sick for the past two months! Shes doing GREAT. A nice healthy weight of 95 lbs, full of energy and very happy these days. Her bloodwork still shows somewhat elevated liver enzymes BUT... shes no longer jaundiced for the first time in 6 months! YAY!!!!! Her bile acid test from last week is a bit above normal but not bad given her disease. And really, this is all incredibly good news considering just last June they told me she only had 20% liver function, since then she’s been through 2 surgeries and 3 stays in ICU, pulled through many touch-and-go nights and serious complications of everything from DIC to liver necrosis, and she wasn’t supposed to last the summer. So I couldnt be more thrilled with how shes doing these days!! And I couldnt be more grateful to all those that have given me (and continue to give me) so much support. Your prayers and good wishes and positive healing energies have been so gratefully received and look at the results! Many thanks to those special people that gave their shoulder to cry on, that listen and help and are totally solid in their support and in their understanding that the dog’s welfare should always come first and that no owner should be left without any support when their dog is critically ill. Maureen, Kelly, Megan, Brad, Becky, Anita, Cheryl…. you are all awesome! And you know what…its all been worth it -- all the enormous stress and hospital stays and expense and cooking for her and nursing her and all of the medications and the prayers...... to see my Juno like this! All the many vets that have looked after her these past six months are all going around telling the story of Juno the Miracle Dog...even they cant believe how well shes doing and just love being a part of this good news story. It fills my heart to have so many rooting for her and supporting us both in this journey. Thank you all again, and please keep those prayers and positive energies coming! Here she is on the right, with big brother Sawyer who is happy to have his playmate back in fighting form.
