“Just 10 More Minutes” By Ron Matthew 13:24-30, 36-43 A master of disguise is Satan. Today we discussed Satan’s sowing of false Christians into our world and how they are mingling among us. They look like us, talk like us; trick us into believing they are one of us. We spoke about these false Christians presenting false gospels and a false righteousness all in the name of tolerance and polity. We did not have time to cover the false church and false prophet. Satan not only sows those false brother and sisters, those who disguise themselves as Christians among us he also presents a false Church and we are warned of these things. The false Church, master of disguise is presented to us in the book of Revelations 2:8-11 8 “And to the angel of the church in Smyrna write: These are the words of the first and the last, who was dead and came to life: 9 “I know your affliction and your poverty, even though you are rich. I know the slander on the part of those who say that they are Jews and are not, but are a synagogue of Satan. A false church, a church worshiping things other than our Lord and Savior. The church of Satan and we are allowing it to rise up around us without much fight. Afraid to speak against societies new role of acceptance. But in all the impersonators and disguises there remains one final falsehood that Satan creates as well. One even more detrimental and even frightening than all we have heard thus far. From 2 Thessalonians we read this: 2 As to the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our being gathered together to him, we beg you, brothers and sisters,[a] 2 not to be quickly shaken in mind or alarmed, either by spirit or by word or by letter, as though from us, to the effect that the day of the Lord is already here. 3 Let no one deceive you in any way; for that day will not come unless the rebellion comes first and the lawless one[b] is revealed, the one destined for destruction.[c] 4 He opposes and exalts himself above every so-called god or object of worship, so that he takes his seat in the temple of God, declaring himself to be God. 5 Do you not remember that I told you these things when I was still with you? 6 And you know what is now restraining him, so that he may be revealed when his time comes. 7 For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work, but only until the one who now restrains it is removed. 8 And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord Jesus[d] will destroy[e] with the breath of his mouth, annihilating him by the manifestation of his coming. 9 The coming of the lawless one is apparent in the working of Satan, who uses all power, signs, lying wonders, 10 and every kind of wicked deception for those who are perishing, because they refused to love the truth and so be saved. 11 For this reason God sends them a powerful delusion, leading them to believe what is false, 12 so that all who have not believed the truth but took pleasure in unrighteousness will be condemned. A false profit! One disguised as a savior, as a prophet, an impersonator even presenting a false judgment day, a disguise in the false Day of the Lord. This prophet imposter, impersonator will rise up initially through tolerance and acceptance. We will accept him in a false righteousness. Again I warn you, beware my brothers and sisters; the wolf in sheep’s clothing is among us. Approval of what is not based in scripture; disguised for us in polity and acceptance and that seed of deceit that the devil sows is called tolerance. Be bold, be strong, be one in spreading Gods word without disguise, without impersonation, without falsehood, sow the truth in the true word of God. Amen
