Just 15 percent of Americans said they were following the 2014 - TopicsExpress

Just 15 percent of Americans said they were following the 2014 midterm elections very closely in the past week, according to polling released Monday by the Pew Research Center. Thats less than half the number that said they were tracking the Ebola virus (36 percent) story or the reports on the U.S. airstrikes against the Islamic State in Syria and Iraq (31 percent). We cant let this number persist. With just a month left in the campaign season, we need to raise awareness of the importance of this election. There is a lot at stake and we cant let this opportunity to fight gridlock and reward bipartisanship pass us by. Talk with your friends, your co-workers and your family. Make sure they tune into the debates and read up on candidates. Have them check out the Olympias List (olympiaslist.org/) and Bipartisan Policy Center websites (bipartisanpolicy.org/). And most importantly, make sure they cast an informed vote next month. We must change the status quo of the do-nothing Congress. We must alter the political refrain from CANT do to CAN do. And we must not accept anything less!
