Just Another Point Of View I have so often got into a debate with fellow hoteliers on – Guest is God or Guest is Always Right. And I do beg to differ. As a hospitality service provider, just as I have an obligation to respect your aspirations and sentiments as a guest, you too have an obligation towards the hotel you stay in and that obligation does not end with your just paying the bill. And while many hoteliers keep talking about the problems they face with domestic guests, we must take some blame of that onto ourselves too. In order to fill up our rooms, we compromise with our own principles and allow guests to walk all over us. As a guest, I definitely allow you the privilege of pushing me to a point – I take that as a given in hospitality, However, there has to be line which should not be allowed to be crossed, even at the cost of loosing the guest and the business.
