Just Curious Why Dollar $IGN$ DONNY $CHATZ did not stick around in Australia for this weekends PO$$IBLE $ 57,000 PAYDAY ? The Scott Darley Challenge will celebrate the memory of the young man it honours every year in the biggest possible way at Valvoline Raceway on January 16 & 17, 2015 with a complete revamp of the format and a substantial boost in prize-money that potentially makes it the richest pay to win race in Australian Speedway history. It is possible for one driver to win $57,000 over the two nights. The race will now be held over two INDIVIDUAL nights of competition – the Friday and Saturday nights will be completely independent of each other with no carry over points to determine grid positions on the Saturday. The two main events (one each on Friday and Saturday night) will each pay $19,000 to win – honouring Scott’s racing number #19. But here’s the kicker… On the Saturday night, there’s a BONUS $19,000 bounty on top of the already $19,000 to win main event IF the Friday night winning driver has qualified for the A Main and then elected to and has started from #19 in the A-Main. This means that, should a driver win the Friday night A-Main ($19,000 to win) from any position that night and then Saturday night A-Main ($19,000 to win) from position #19 he/she will pocket a cool $57,000! So that’s $19,000 on the Friday, then $19,000 plus $19,000 if they start from the #19 position on the Saturday. This makes the 2015 Scott Darley Challenge potentially the richest pay-to-win race in Australian Sprintcar history.
