Just For info : I was not online for the last three days as , we had been to our ancestral place in 353, Tilakwadi , Belgaum , to clean up our home & for other errands & to pick up some Belgaum Faraal .. Yes , yes , this one is built by paternal grandfather, late Shree Shiapaad Rav Ghanashaam Rav Sir Deshpande , The Inamdaar of Bidrewadi ..in 1931 ..! Ths house is built in Chunaa/lime mixed with Kakavee/jaggery liquid . , and NOT in Cement ! Goa Chires / laterite stone blocks are used along with Gokak stone ! Entirely built in Dandeli Teakwood ! Floors/roofs are Dandeli Teak ! It has Ground + 2 floors ! We also have an out house/guest house behind the main Bungalow for the guest & visitors - ground + first floor ! Servants` quarters , well ,garage for horse van ,horse stables a cow-pen & garden ..huge poojaa room ..every morning our Purohit comes & performs the Abhishek , naivedya etc. We have 3 kichens ..1. veg. only. 2 .only fish + non-veg. & 3. for the guests ! All old furniture is in Teak or Shusum / Rosewood ! 3 berooms - ground floor , 3 B/rs on the first , * 3 in the out house ! 40 feet X 18 feet hall on the first floor -where Hirabai , Ajanibai ,Mogubai , Dinanath jee have performed ! I was born in the Balantinichi kholi ` / delivery mother`s room ,in this house ! All our relatives from Goa , Haliyal & other places used to stay in our out house & eat with us ...!
