Just Sharing…a Thought For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. John 3:17 We do all, at least many of us, know that familiar quoted scripture of John 3:16, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life”. First of all…What!? Did you get ahold of that? We human beings were hopeless…and not even realizing it. We are selfish, self-centered, self-seeking, self- satisfying…and believing that’s OK. Unforgiving, judgmental…believing that’s our right and duty. Creating all kinds of gods and idols to worship, not even caring to know the One Who created us. And then those who did were trying to keep every Law required, which, in fact, was altogether hopeless. Condemned to an eternity of everlasting torment, pain, misery and on and on, and not even a clue that that was the destiny of everyone upon the face of the earth. Sin prevailed and no one could save us or redeem us. Well, yes, there was One, that could. He, with much Love, created Man and Woman, cared for them, fed them, shared with them…showering them with Love and Care. Yet, as the Human Nature separated itself from the wisdom and truth of It’s Creator and even It’s true Life…being deceived, desiring to believe a lie, choosing the created over the Creator…Sin ruled where once the Truth reigned and the Lie became the satisfaction of the Human Nature. Thereby separating the created from the Creator, It’s only true Life, and so death reigned in It’s very soul and spirit. A condemnation with a life of death, to receive Sin’s eternal wage…an everlasting life of death and torment, to ever have an unsatisfied unrest forever in Hell forevermore. Being blinded, deceived, being lead by the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes and the pride of life. (I John 2:16) Then we are given a miraculous truth: “God SO Loved the world…” And in that Agape’ Love, He gave…ALL. Because He never lost His love for His Creation, He made a Way for It’s Salvation and Redemption. It surely wasn’t through the ‘religion’ of the Pharisee’s and Sadducee’s…of ‘pointed finger’ judgments, requirements and ‘do as I say’ rudiments. He said further, after giving us the absolute true understanding that “God So Loved the world, that He gave…He only Begotten Son”, His ALL, that He didn’t give and send His only Begotten Son “into the world to condemn the world”, with ‘pointed finger’ judgments and you need to perform in this way and that…NO surely not! He desired all along that the world “through Jesus Christ His Son, might be saved”!! That is what our Creator wants and wanted all along… that no matter how we behaved, believed, acted or performed, no matter what we had done…He desired that we should be “Saved”; because He SO Loves us! What a Father! Oh, what a Savior!! He came choosing to do His Father’s Will, Who is “the author and finisher of our faith; Who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God”. (Hebrews 12:2) Jesus Christ IS Salvation! And so I ask, have you accepted Jesus Christ as Savior? And if yes, how do you see those who aren’t? Or even those who are saved but keep messing up? Do you see them with a ‘pointed finger’ judgment of requirements and ‘do as I say’ rudiments; or with unconditional love, care, forgiveness and a prayerful attitude of Godly understanding. Yet, not compromising, but standing firm on His Truth’s – loving them more than yourself. “But people who do what is true come to the light so that the things they do for God may be clearly seen”.
