Just Why Forever 21 has John 3:16 on the bottom of each - TopicsExpress

Just Why Forever 21 has John 3:16 on the bottom of each bag: “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” This is John 3:16. AKA- what is itemized at the bottom of every Forever 21 bag, courtesy of Don Chang (the creator of Forever 21) himself. And let me just tell you: DON CHANG IS THE DEFINITION OF Drake’s STARTED AT THE BOTTOM NOW WE HERE” song/rap. Sorry I will now try and take the all caps down a notch… but honestly Chang deserves all caps. Do Won Chang and his wife Jin Sook headed over from Seoul, Korea to California in 1981 and Don Chang took on the American dream of working three jobs at once (this makes me cringe). Chang worked as a janitor at night and helped serve coffee and pump gas during the day (I’m cringing even more). After working his buttox off for 3 years Don Chang opened up “Fashion 21″ in 1984 in Highland Park, California. The store was a fashion explosion and took off faster than a white girl in a bad neighborhood. “Fashion 21″ quickly expanded and was renamed “Forever 21″. STARTED FROM THE BOTTOM NOW HE’s HERE: Chang now lives in a $16.5-million home in Beverly Hills and he has a networth of $4.5 Billion dollars (as told by Forbes). I should also throw it out there that he never went to college. “Forever 21 gives hope and inspiration to people who come here with almost nothing,” said Chang, “And that is a reward that humbles me: the fact that immigrants coming to America, much like I did, can come into a Forever 21 and know that all of this was started by a simple Korean immigrant with a dream.” A quote straight from Chang’s FB page. Chang is the man! And he is also God’s man with bibles kept in the office and a dedicated schedule that reportedly includes church at 5:20 am on weekdays. Make sure to check out the bottom of your little yellow Forever 21 bag next time you go shopping and be sure to think about this Korean man of God and the ambition that it takes to start at nothing and the result of being worth $4.5 billion dollars…
