Just a REMINDER....Our ROOKIE BALL PROGRAM has begun and we had lots of boys and girls here at LBSA on Tuesday night. So If you or you know of any boys or girls that are 4u-8u, spread the word and come join the fun,learn the game.. .Rookie Ball Program 1 Hour Clinic/ 30 Minute Games Our Rookie Ball program will be a year round, weekly clinic, dedicated to teaching the fundamentals of baseball to young athletes 4 years old to 8 years old. The young athletes will learn all aspects of the game from the ground up. Our 10,000 sq. ft., state of the art, main field allows us to break into four groups/stations that will focus on learning the following skills: 1. Proper catching and throwing mechanics 2. Proper footwork and fielding techniques 3. Proper hitting mechanics 4. Proper base-running techniques. At the end of each clinic there will be an intra-squad game to allow the children to show off their newly learned skills in a game situation on our indoor field. Allowing the young athletes to learn/practice first and then allow them to take their newly learned skills and apply them in game situations, allows each athlete to gain confidence and enjoy the sport.; Instruction is provided by the LBSA staff with instructors experienced in teaching players of all ages and skill levels. Philosophy • Teaching young athletes that success comes with hard work and a passion for the game. We believe that practice is where games are won. Teaching fundamentals at an early age will allow boys and girls to gain the necessary skill sets needed to play the game at higher levels as they get older. Hard work and practice will also teach the player how to succeed during their playing career and in life after baseball. A solid foundation is the key to developing a passion and winning attitude. It is important that our ROOKIE BALL program allow all boys and girls to have FUN as well as learn the fundamental foundation of the game in a consistent and structured manner. “Success is an outcome, only achieved, if the players and coaches are dedicated to the program and believe in the methods of the coaches. “ Cost: $100 for 8 weeks on Tuesday nights from 6:30-8:00 PM beginning Sept. 17th- Thanksgiving Beginner / Intermediate programs: After two weeks of evaluation of each player our instructors will begin to break all participants into two categories, BEGINNER – Those that are learning the game for the first time and need extra attention to the basic skill sets necessary to play in league play. INTERMEDIATE – Those players that demonstrate the skills sets that will allow our instructors to teach and instruct at an advanced pace.
