Just a Thought From a Boxing Historian: I keep hearing people talk about the Mayweather fight. I just saw a post on Yahoo. Heres a tip Maidana didnt have a blueprint to beat Mayweather. Everyone who applied those same tactics lost to him. Any boxing historian knows Floyd and B-Hop are learning from the master himself Muhammad Ali on doing a new style rop-a-dop. Too much watching UFC distorting boxing views. Floyd is an emotional family guy and his split with Miss Jackson was weighing on him. This is the funniest part. Maidana had an extra 16 pounds when weighed earlier before the fight. When they stepped in the ring he was probably 20 plus pounds heavier since they fought so late. So Floyd was fighting a super middle weight who couldnt even knock him out. Maidana cant beat Floyd, throwing punches in bunches swinging wild and dirty fighting tactics dont win fights. Even when referees wont take points for visible dirty boxing tactics, 4 low blows, with no rest, knee lifts and UFC tactics and all that along with a judge who scored it even. Disappointed in ref Tony Weeks he needs to sit down. When a ref fails to deduct points for an array of dirty tactics its time for them to step away from the sport because they are in their to protect both fighters. Madiana didnt win on any judges cards, fight commentators or sportswriters cards. In the words of Iron Mike Tyson Floyd is such a masterful fighter you have to fight him dirty. Hes too skilled for anyone to fight him regular and win. You will lose. You would still have to implement other tactics too because hes a master boxer. El Chino didnt win and he never will. Get over it. Learn the sport before commentating about it.
