Just a few video stills from a wee schooling session this afternoon. I say wee... I got a bit carried away and kept him out there for an hour and a half - oops! We ran through E53 a couple of times in preparation for the weekend, which was slightly challenging as there were poles left out right where I had to Leg Yield :p First run through was very ratty, as he downed tools on me in the left LY (into poles/wings!) and decided rein back was out.of.the.question. A brief reminder that rein back is part of dressage too, and the second run through was considerably more encouraging. Hoping to pick up a couple of % on previous tests earlier in the year, but not expecting great things at this stage. We then spent some time working on half pass, changing the bend and HPing to and from the centre line in trot. In canter we were running through medium-collection transitions, half circles and 6-10m circles, partly as practice for the weekend. Plus the odd sneaky HP just because we can :p Then a nice long walk off to the ford to cool down. Hacking tomorrow and Friday, competing Saturday and Sunday off - this is the plan for the rest of the week :) Anyway... Happy hump-day people :)
