Just a follow up to a post I left a couple weeks ago asking for help in identifying this old beater that I had acquired. I appreciate everyones input in identifying it as a 234. Because everyone got so excited about it, I scrapped my idea of just cleaning it up and putting it in service. I was torn as to what to do with it. I decided to do a partial restoration. I wanted to getting looking like it did in 1936, but not so pristine that I would put it on the shelf and let I collect dust. So here is the final product in this before-after-fired picture. Its good enough to use as a workhorse without being paranoid of dinging it, and its in a condition that someone can take a quick look at it and appreciate that its a 234. Besides, I wanted to make sure that if I get hit by a bus, this one didnt end up in a scrap pile one day. Thanks for your help!!!
