Just a heads up.. Mentioned tonight in the board meeting, the preliminary budget will be posted online tomorrow for the public to see. In fact, as you can see this is already posted. pgsd.org/Page/1344 Now this is just the preliminary budget and of course not the final numbers, but you will get the first look at what the district believes they need for next year. So what would everyone like to see? Of course, we all want a decrease and no tax increase, but do you really think that will happen? With our teachers in need of a new deserving contract, how do you think that will be displayed in the budget? I want to go on record saying that if our budget is raising, I think that money should be going to our teachers and not the administration or anything else not mandated by the state or contract. I have seen our taxes raised each and every year for I dont know how many years, but in all of those years none of my tax increase seems to find its way into the teachers hands. Our teachers are the life-blood and the most important aspect of our school. They need to get what is deserving of them. Do not let this budget crisis continue to affect our great teachers.
