Just a little blurb .... We customers are NOT being held hostage. We CHOOSE not to trade at Market basket while it is under the control of someone other than Arthur T. Demoulas. It is very simple, terminate the co-CEOs, sell all shares to ATD at FMV as of the date of sale (since the games of F&G have devalued the store greatly) and all financing is to be done with normal, acceptable business terms. This is not a difficult situation to resolve. The issue is the greediness and envy of ASD and his family members. Basically we customers can hold out much longer than you can. If you drag this out and continue to devalue the company, add more liability, continue to hire incompetent drivers who deliver expired or rotten product in an unsafe manner; that liability falls on you and the share value decreases significantly due to exposure. Anyone with a modicum of knowledge of M&A knows that youa re exposing the MB chain to multi million dollar lawsuits left and right. The only way out of the mess that you have created is to take all liability for all events that occurred under your tenure as co-CEOs and advise that the ASD group sells as fast as they can with no strings attached. If they sell to anyone other than ATD, the value is roughly 60% due to the loss of goodwill (that goes with ATD). I have to say that I have never seen a company driven into the ground so quickly in my entire career. Now go back to wherever you came from and let ATD have his company back.
