Just a little reminder of why our wonderful volunteers are dancing on the ceiling!!Longford Goes Strictly Dancing 2015 is all in aid of raising money to help the Attic House Project and the Temperance Hall๐๐๐๐๐๐ The Attic Youth Cafรฉ engages with over 50% of young people from 12 to 18 years throughout Longford Town and County, providing a structured youth service, and a full programme of events and activities to almost 2,000 teens.๐ซ๐ฌ๐ญ Growing membership and an increasing number of programmes requires a larger and more accessible space for this amazing youth facility. It is envisaged that the new Youth Centre will be the centre for all youth facilities and projects to operate from and in County Longford.๐ก๐๐๐๐๐๐ The new youth centre will be a state- of -the -art facility, equipped with a recording studio, sound room, computer hub, demonstration kitchen, meeting rooms, facilitation rooms, a designated Youth Cafรฉ space, individual meeting rooms, offices and an all-weather sports area outside. A facility like this will provide the space and opportunity for our young people to develop their skills and contribute to the society in which they live.๐๐๐๐๐๐โบโบ The Temperance Hall has been a landmark building at the heart of Longford for over 100 years. It is a versatile community centre and a vibrant hub for recreation and cultural activities in Longford Town. The Temperance Hall is home to a wide range of community activities including the Longford Girl Guides, The Attic Youth Cafรฉ, Cumann na bhFiann, fitness and marital arts groups, and weekly Bingo. The Temperance Hall has a keen interest in supporting local voluntary groups who are working for the betterment of our community and so facilities are offered at a nominal cost. Keeping costs low for community organisations leads us to fundraise for the maintenance and upkeep of this wonderful centre of activity which continues to provide a space for countless hours of enjoyment found there by succeeding generations.๐ค๐๐ ๐๐ All of the dancers joining in this unique fundraising event are giving freely of a lot of their time and a phenomenal amount of energy to train and entertain for your votes.Every euro raised counts as a vote for your favourite dancer!!๐๐๐๐๐๐ Please show your support for them and their heroic efforts by sponsoring them and help to secure vital funding to maintain and generate worthwhile activities and learning opportunities for the community of Longfordโบโบโบ๐๐๐
