Just a little verbal spanking to the powers-that-be who make decisions that affect the lives of the rest of us. My daughter and son-in-law just moved back here from the state of Washington. Theyve been here less than a month and, Ill tell you, the crime and nonsense in Griffin, the schools, property values, tax rates, all of it, has convinced them that they need to buy elsewhere. They were going to make an offer on a house in Spalding County and changed their mind. The house was perfect, the lot was perfect, the price was great. Needed some updating but nothing too serious. So, those who are here and who are trying to sell, you need to think about who youre voting for in the upcoming elections (local and national). The debate over the airport, animals dying in the shelter, Officer Jordan, etc. Were better than this, people. As a community we are better than the what were accepting. Yall better wake up.
