Just a mild rant. Taking care of your health is becoming a serious BOTHER! In my family, some of us are trying to lose weight and others are trying to gain weight. None of us are just fine the way we are. Food has become a burden. Is it okay to eat this, or not? Cereal used to be an easy breakfast staple, but now I have to worry about the sugar and the gluten. Milk ... lactose intolerant? Eggs ... too much cholesterol. Bacon ... too much fat. Fruit ... all sugar unless you add a protein. A salad for lunch is fine, but you have to eat a whole garden to get full then youre hungry by mid-afternoon! Dont forget to feel guilty about the Snickers bar! Eat fish or chicken for supper, or better yet, become a vegetarian. NOT. Dont dress up the veggies... casseroles just add fat. Avoid bread with your meal. Drink water ... far more than you want. When you shop, ignore the price tag and buy organic to avoid those pesticides! Dont buy packaged food... only shop around the outside of the store. Buy bottled water... its healthier. No, wait! The plastic bottles are carcinogenic! If you live a sedentary lifestyle, you will die young. Buy an ergonomic chair for work and the right athletic shoes. If you exercise, study the proper techniques to avoid injury. When you pull a muscle, use ice for the first 24-48 hours, then you can use heat. If youre exercising but arent losing weight, what did you expect? Health is 80% diet and only 20% exercise!!! If you need to go to the doctor, remember you can only address one problem per visit. Yes, well talk about your knee but not your ankle, even if one is affecting the other. Even your family practitioner refuses to treat certain problems, and no, we wont refill your prescription from another doctor because we dont treat ____. And dont get me started on ObamaCare!
