Just a note regarding Mosaic and upcoming Holidays. Normally we have a Thanksgiving meal where the families of those living here, and those in the community can come. Last year we had about 30 people and of course this includes our family who are either working poor or homeless. We hope to have some tickets this morning and we do request a ticket to have an idea of who is coming and how many to expect. We also want to announce our Christmas Angel Tree Project: We have a church who has adopted our Homeless Christmas Tree Project. We do our Angel Tree much different than other groups, we ask for the person to put on their slip up to 3 items they want for Christmas, in the past this has ranged from towels to toys for their children and shoes or bots to sports themed jackets. We need to get people to fill these out as soon as possible, they can contact us at Mosaic to get a form to fill out, It is pretty simple really. The only cavat is we give those things out at a Christmas celebration at Mosaic. That will be on Saturday, 10 AM - 3 PM December 27. We will have breakfast and lunch that day for those who come early, and will hand out gifts shortly after lunch. Anyone not picking those gifts up by January 2, 1 PM those gifts will be placed in our pantry of items to be given out to other homeless persons or persons in need. For more information dont hesitate to call us and please do understand we want to get these into the hands of all of those we can. It is also understood, we will do our best to get the gifts offered purchased for the individuals but there is no guarantees. We will try our best to have a gift for everyone in attendance at the event on the 27th. Please feel free to copy and share as need be and you can. BTW, even though a church is helping, others can jump in and participate, it would be great to get and have gifts for everyone who signs up and again, this is for our Homeless Family and any other in need. In special situations, for a donation, we can even have Santa deliver gifts on December 23, and 24. Those Santa Deliveries are again, however, for financial donations to Mosaic.
