Just a note to vent, sorry if its boring but all small businesses out there please be aware... Over the last 2 months a lady has ordered several things from me and i got to know her a little, she paid for her first dresses no problem at all, the next order was a big order and on paying she SAID she called the shop to pay. I did cash up the shop and didnt think anything of it. the next order though, she stated that she paid by paypal, I couldnt see her payment so politely questioned it and she went a bit grumpy saying i wouldnt say id paid if i hadnt etc etc. My paypal is very busy with the fabric page as well, and there are lots of transactions every day and I just accepted it. This last week she ordered 3 dresses and 2 wardrobes by moulin roty at £48 each sent me a message saying paid, reminded me her address and said please send today. After telling said lady i couldnt see her £200 payment, she again just sent her address, now, Darryn and I are quite trusting and being so busy, once wrapped addresses get put on the parcels and sent, which I realise is very trusting and we are looking into ways of making this a bit more secure. However today on yet again messaging to say sorry I can not see your payment she has now deactivated her account. It should be noted that I often post to regulars (you know who you are) for unpaid dresses and Ive even sent dresses to people who have decided they cant afford them just to make them smile... Sorry for the length of this rant, however yesterday a lady who ordered 3 party dresses, did the same, again saying they had paid by phone and here is their address. Any how on checking, she hadnt and now she is not replying but has read my messages .. I have a very strong suspicion this happened with her order 2 weeks ago as well. Im saying all this because all small businesses out there need to be more vigilant than me, dont be as stupid as Ive been, we have lots of out goings to keep over 100 fabrics in stock and take very little salary ourselves to ensure it all goes back into the business to help us grow, a little naive I know... We were having a great month, and yet we are still skint, which has alerted us to a problem. The money Ive lost on these ladies has jeopodised our little family trip to London so please dont be too trusting people will stoop very low and for me Ill be more careful and lesson is learnt .... sascha xx ps on the whole, 99% of you are great and thank you for your business xx PPS Rant over, please carry on with your evening, I now feel a little better xx sorry should add Mr BB wrote this but wanted to say now Ive read through the conversations i think its the same last and with deactivating one account
