Just a polite note to several of my nice friends (seriously) who ask me, in various ways, Whats the deal with this serial killer stuff in Gary?...Gary being, of course, my birth town and home until 1972, when I was 16. Folks, I dont know. Serial killings happen many places, unfortunately. Gary has a murder problem in general, as do MANY large, rundown cities. I guess the surplus of abandoned houses makes it easy to stash corpses, and there are a lot of adrift people there who, when they disappear, dont seem to go off of anyones radar. Its just sad. My heart goes out to the families and especially the victims.
