Just a question from anyone who had a 57-59 Ford. Always liked those years . We all can appreciate the classic style and reliability of the 57 Chevy even if we were Ford fans , but mechanically, which was the best car? I liked the 59! Ford so much better than the grotesque silly batwing Chevy of that year but was the Ford a better built and more reliable car? There were some problems with the Y-Block engines in those years and the 57-58 models werent known for good built quality. What were your experiences in comparisons during those years? Often wondered how you would compare the new MOpar torsion aire ride and the Chevy coil spring suspension compared to Fords more conventional suspension system?
