Just a quick message to let you know Winchester is doing great. Weve gotten a pretty good routine down. Mornings are a bit crazy when he and Sophie the pug are both howling for their breakfasts. He LOVES to go for his walks and now expects them every night. He can do 0.4 of a mile at a pretty good pace. He does slow down and take a sniff break before the last tenth of a mile. He has decided he prefers to sleep right on the floor up against the couch instead of on any of the dog beds weve put out for him. We tried putting him in bed one night and he didnt like that at all! The one challenge we have is that he doesnt want to go out (or in) the door first. He wants to follow! :-) He is doing better at catching himself when he starts to fall and he is spending more and more time awake and alert through the day and evening, grooming himself and watching everything we do! He is very curious. Oh, and he continues to play with toys every once in awhile (I think he gets dizzy after tossing them in the air a couple of times). He really is a joy to care for
