Just a quick mid-week post... Im typing up Fridays Beginner Observer article, and want to put something out here quickly. I am restricting each article to 300 words for brevity... these arent supposed to be classes, after all, just insights. For the next little while, Im discussing weather. Now, I know we have readers throughout Canada, a few in the USA, and at least two in Europe, and I know youve got different weather patterns than we do. Im trying to make these articles as inclusive as possible, so please understand that when I say rain, it should read rain or snow. My word limit makes this inclusion difficult. Also, due to the fact that most of our readers are here in the Greater Vancouver Area, our landmarks will be specific to this area. I am not trying to exclude our out-of-town readers, just trying to be as specific to our in-person customers as we can. If you ARE reading this from somewhere other than the Greater Vancouver Area, and would like region-specific information, by all means contact the local astronomy group, or your local telescope provider, or university. They can help you find dark sky sites in your area. Also, because Ive mentioned to Harout that we have readers from out-of-country, and I dont think he believes me, if youre not from the Vancouver area, I invite you to post a comment below, and tell us where youre reading from.
