Just a quick note and then I will have a larger race report and results later. Thank you for everyone for coming out. So many of you challenged yourself beyond what you ever thought possible. It was so great to see so many people fall in love with the trail for the first time. For me the race is a labor of love and brings me so much joy. I especially have countless thank yous to extend that cannot possibly be paid back. First and foremost is Teresa and Doris from the Choctaw Nation who helped keep our expenses out of the red this year. We have some money to put toward next years race. The Choctaws sponsoring this race was a help and a surprise beyond words. Brian Hoover and TATUR for working that tough aid station at the Kiamichi River. Jed and Whitney Kirby for sitting in the cold wind taking pictures and helping Rick Snyder work the Winding Stair Mountain Aid Station. Thanks to my Mom and Deanna Campbell for working the Pashubee Aid Station and keeping track of who was still out there. Thank you to all who brought food including Sylvia Baugus, Lori and Todd Enlow, Rhodora Bray, George and Misty Haney and so many others who brought food and never said a word. Almost all the food was gone but there was a little left over which tells me we hit about right. But without your potluck spirit we would have definitely been short. Thanks to Lee Baugus and his mom Sylvia and Jared Wakeham for helping me to clear some of the trail. Thanks to everyones generosity. In addition to the sale of the hoodies, many gave very generously as evidenced by the large checks and bills. I will definitely put that toward next years race because its never been my intent to make money on this race but rather just to throw a party and have fun with my ultra trail running friends. Thanks to Madeline Grace Brennan, my daughter for your beautiful clarinet playing. I think it added that special touch. And a big thank you to my wife for putting up with this crazy hobby. Sorry if Ive missed anyone, but as you can see, there are a lot of people to thank.
