Just a quick note to let you all know that our family greet and meet was a success! I have a very witty loving British Family. My Dad would have truly felt like he belonged. While it was emotional, there where no tears but the hugs will last a lifetime. I might have been in shock. My Uncle Jim kept asking me if I was fine as I was standing soaking it all in. I have only one photo for now. Aunt Margaret is my Dads half sister. Kay and I having been chatting since I found her last year. Donna is Kays sister, Auntie M and Uncle Jims children. Steve and Russell are the husbands. Tomorrow,Sunday is going to be another very big day for all. My British family are going to meet more Canadian cousins, that I havent even met yet! This branch of family is from my Grandmothers sister Elizabeth who also came over in 1914. They did the voyage together and then got separated in Toronto at some point in 1914. Elizabeth made a life in Canada and raised a family of 5. My Grandmother on the other hand manged to get back to England in 1921 and in the process left my Dad behind. So tomorrow I am sure tears will flow and my camera will be working overtime. We are having an Afternoon Tea, British style. Will keep you posted. .
