Just a quick update as to whats happening for all you awesome fruit lovers. So we have a team of 9 organising a bunch of things for this event. What we are currently working on is finding a suitable main hall with serene surrounds that is close to beach and waterfalls (we think we have found one) , looking at the setting this up officially as a Not for Profit organisation for purpose of being on local program guides from council and obtaining any support from council and / or business and the media. Also, this will show that to the world we are serious about this event and give confidence to entice them to join us. We are also checking out bus charters prices for a couple of day trips to the Daintree and Cape Tribulation. And for getting to Rustys markets to buy our delicious fruit and veg. We also have a very experienced and connected Fruit Lover up here who will be organising some of the exotics for us, to secure this we will add a price in on the ticket so you can be assured of some mind blowing taste sensations such as Fresh Durian, Marang, Rollinia, Jackfruit, Fijian Longans. And we are about to post for volunteers for running a fitness class and short talks, performance for our event. At this stage we are talking about the dates of between mid Jan to 1st week of feb, this looks like the best time for getting what you came for ... Delicious Tropical Fruit and also even tho it is the wet season on average the morning part of the day is usually clear for a swim at the beach or a waterfall. And we have a team finding a range of accomodation for any budget, ideally a place where we can all be and that will be close to the main hall. So there you have it a bit happening and we look forward to posting and asking for your input.
