Just a quick update on the unexpected water cut in stlucia. Just under two weeks ago the water shortage hit us in town and has got gradually worse. The two hours of water a day has not materialised since Thursday. The resort has reacted by installing additional jojo tanks bringing our capacity to around 20 000 liters. We are purchasing water from borehole owners where we can in order to get the showers working for a few hours a day. Pool water is supplementing the toilets and we are supplying additional drinking water in the rooms. Apart from the odd person the guests are handling the problems in good spirits, and we thank them for this. Aside from this we do our rain dance every morning and hats off to all the hippo staff who are pulling together in carrying water buckets to and fro. Watch this space for further news.
