Just a random post here. Personally, I feel that honesty is not valued anymore. Especially for those who are betrothed to their partners. To me, there are some secrets that is better to be kept (such as issues that will not affect the partner). But others, such as financial problems, is to me, better to be shared with your partner. Some think its okay to keep such issues a secret; thinking that as long as the secret is kept safely, it will never be exposed. But, what if one day the secret is let out of the bag and blows out of proportion? Are u ready to face that? I am specially emphasising on financial problems. If before a couple is married and yet either one is burdened financially, its best to talk things out and solve the problem together. Like, hello? There will be many more problems and some might even be bigger and more challenging than the one facing now. If a partner is unable to lend any support (financially, strategically or emotionally), I hope that when you both get married, things will change.. But in the first place, what caused the issue? Try explaining it to your partner. Insha Allah, if he/she really loves you, they will understand and will assist you. If not, be prepared for a heartbreak and a headache. It either comes earlier or later. PS: This comes straight from my heart, to my mind and out from my fingers. I hope no one is offended cos honestly, I dont wanna see any couples in any financial problems. I am also engaged too and I do feel what most of my Halal-Couple-To-Be feel. Lets start a new journey with confidence, happiness and trust in one another, ameen.
