Just a reminder: DNR Fire Danger Burn Ban in effect for all Washington state, summer 2014 The burn ban will run from today [July 11, 2014] through September 30, 2014. It applies to all forest lands under DNR fire protection, which does not include federally owned lands (DNR press release). DNR had a burn ban in effect for lands east of the Cascades. However, the press release dated July 1, 2014, expands their ban to the remainder of the state. What this means for you: While the current statewide ban only applies to DNR lands, many local air agencies and fire districts support these annual fire danger burn bans by enacting land clearing bans and restricting other types of burning.
