Just a reminder! On Thursday evening November 7th, the UH Sea Grant Hanauma Bay Education Program continues its public outreach series at the City and County of Honolulu’s Hanauma Bay Nature Preserve. Thursday November 7, Representations of Wai as Mo‘o Donna Camvel, PhD Student, Specializing in Indigenous Politics, UHM Coral Reef Resilience Under Climate Change, Ocean Acidification, and Local Human Impacts Christopher Jury, PhD Student, Oceanography Department, UHM During the month of November our Thursday evening outreach series will feature UH Sea Grant supported graduate student research. Each week, multiple students will provide short 10-15 minute presentations on their research. This is a great opportunity for the community to learn about cutting edge marine and coastal research taking place locally, while providing an opportunity for the students to develop important public speaking skills. To learn more show up next Thursday! As always, these events begin at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday evening in the theater at the Hanauma Bay Education Center. Events are free and open to the public, with no charge for parking after 5:30 p.m. We hope to see you on Thursday evening! These programs are supported and funded by the City and County of Honolulu Department of Parks and Recreation.
