Just a reminder of the simple things that we learned as kids heading up to deer camp with our elders...After experiencing and hearing story after story of hunters who DONT have each others back, we felt like we should post a code of ethics prior to the season. These rules arent in the DNR handbook - they are the things that your grandpa should have taught you. GRANDPAS HUNTING CODE OF ETHICS 1. BE SAFE, muzzle direction, etc.. 2. Dont steal tree stands 3. Dont steal trail cameras (yes, we know these werent around back in the day) 4. Dont steal someone elses deer 5. Dont break into someones cabin 6. Dont put up a blind on a property line overlooking your neighbors property. 7. Dont ride ATVs on other peoples property without permission. 8. BUY a license! 9. If there is already a tree stand in a tree - dont hang another one higher up....true story!#? 10. PLEASE FILL IN YOUR REMINDER FOR THE COMMUNITY BELOW Always remember.. in the big picture, were all on the same team. Treat your fellow hunters as you would like to have them treat you. Good luck this season! We cant wait to see what this years harvest brings! Dont be shy on sharing this with your friends and family as we could all use a little reminder now and again!
