Just a reminder that the level of spine degeneration does not correlate to your pain levels. Had an emergency patient this weekend who had been convinced that because a previous X-Ray showed degeneration in his spine he was doomed to deal with a life of pain and discomfort. After performing the exam we found that most of the pain was originating from his shoulder/rotator cuff muscles and there was a tremendous amount we could do to help. The mental shift in the patient was enough to not only decrease his pain levels but improve his overall outlook towards the future. Truly incredible and another reason we love what we do!
